I have a girlfriend who consistently hoards food to take home whenever she dines out. This behavior is a constant whether she's with me, with other friends, or on dates.

It's a practice she maintains without fail. No matter where we eat - there she goes with her leftover bag. Whether breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any other mealtime, even when the dining experience falls short – there she goes with her collection of leftovers.

It comes off as tacky to me and as though she’s a food hoarder.

There are instances when her refrigerator has amassed an assortment of nearly 20 food containers, sitting – waiting to be devoured. And more times than not, they go bad before she consumes them. I think she likes the idea of having various leftovers at her disposal to eat whenever she desires. However, it has gotten to the point where it is compulsory and done at EVERY outing. Always, she leaves a small bite to take home.

Here’s the pitfall – while it may be okay and acceptable to take leftovers home while dining alone or out with friends and family, it is preferable that you skip the leftovers while on a date.
